Jenkins Ranch

2009 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Though Jenkins Ranch is historically known for its red-fruit flavors, the character of the 2009 vintage has brought an extra measure of depth and suppleness to this wine, moving red cherry elements more into the black cherry spectrum, alongside ripe boysenberry and floral layers, as well as lavender, licorice, brown sugar and savory teriyaki notes. Though this wine offers remarkable density on the palate, with big extract and soft, round tannins, there is also a tempering freshness and lift that bodes well for this wine’s longevity.
